b. Queensland, Australia, lived in London 2006–2010, 2011–2013, Central America and México 2010–2011, 2022, France 2013–2014, various locations in regional Australia and Sydney 2014–2017, Melbourne 2002–2006, 2017–2022.

I work with ordinary objects and the everyday to create democratic visual languages which playfully contemplate collective consciousness and the absurdity of constructed reality. Embracing an ad-hoc, makeshift aesthetic, my work examines what familiar, mundane objects and surroundings can reveal about social and psychological states, connecting micro to macro phenomena. Drawing from lived experience, magic realism and contemporary conditions, my practice implicates themes of memory, perception, mass consumption, existentialism and constant states of change. My working process is approached intuitively through embodied action (walking, movement, play, drawing, ceramics), allowing the private, emotional and unconscious to blend with awareness of current social circumstance. The work invites connections, valuing humour, ambiguity and indeterminacy as ends in their own right.
